I'm Kiki, a portrait photographer based in Nelson, New Zealand, specialising in business portraits. I believe a quality portrait creates a trusting first impression.

I received my training in Switzerland, where I completed a 4-year apprenticeship program at the Kunstschule Zürich. The program was focused on portrait photography and film development, providing me with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of photography, including darkroom film development and printing.

Before moving to New Zealand, I honed my skills at the Foto Gessler Studio in Switzerland.

I founded Das Portrait, to focus on business portraiture without the cost and hassle. I use film techniques learned over many years that ensure quality images with the speed and cost benefits of digital photography.

I am dedicated to producing high-quality results and my ability to connect with my subjects and bring out their unique personalities in each portrait I take. I believe that capturing the essence of a person's personality is the key to a great business portrait.

I have also worked as a documentary photographer, it was my pleasure to be selected to document the redevelopment of the Theatre Royal.

I have published work in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Germany.
